Pura Vida
In Costa Rica, ¡Pura Vida! is a phrase used by Ticos (Costa Ricans) on a daily basis. It means “pure life,” or “simple life,” and not only is it a slogan, it's a lifestyle. “Pura Vida” (pronounced poo-rah vee-duh) represents Costa Ricans' relaxed attitude towards life, no matter the circumstance.
Costa Rica is a beautiful tropical country. Expect a hot climate with temperatures ranging from an average low of 73°F and an average high of 91°F. February is the dry season, so we should not experience rain. Central Standard time zone. Colones is the currency, but you’ll find U.S. dollars and major credit card companies are accepted. Dollars can be exchanged for Colones at the airport and vice versa when you depart. The locals speak Spanish and some English. They are also so friendly and eager to share their language, so be sure to ask questions to work on your spanish. For those fluent, be ready for our translation questions ;) Also, be sure to quiz Tyler who has been studying!
Tamarindo is a lively city with lots to do. Coming soon, you’ll find a list of our recommendations for your visit.
